He's not exactly a villain type—if anything he's more like a good guy. I heard about him from the grandmas at the community center. Don't know his exact age, but based on the sparse white hairs I see, he looks like he's in his mid-50s. Not sure if he's unemployed or what, but even on days when I'm on vacation, I see him sometimes smoking on the rooftop.

Anyway, up to this point he just looks like your typical retired ajusshi lol

This old man goes around doing extraordinary acts of kindness. When he notices a dog tied up on a leash looking neglected, dirty, or tired, he finds the owner and...

"Would it be okay if I took this dog real quick for a bit?" At first, the owners naturally say no, but he... they must have thought he was a dog trader lol

The old man then hands over his phone and wallet and says "I'll really just take him for a bit and come right back." Still, 5-6 out of 10 reject him, but the remaining 4 agree and let him take the dog.

So the old man takes the dog, and a few hours later when the dog comes back, it's been showered, groomed, all cleaned up, and it's been on a walk somewhere—tongue hanging out, panting like crazy haha

Seeing that, they ask "Why is he like this?" and he says "These pups get so bored being tied up, so I just took off the leash and took him for a walk..." and hands the dog back. When they try to thank him or offer a reward, he firmly declines saying "It's just my hobby, my hobby..." and coolly grabs his wallet and phone and leaves.

So everyone with dogs in the neighborhood met that old dude once, and they all ended up with their dogs looking equally clean

One time I asked him why he bothered doing this, spending his own time and money on it

His dog that he used to raise died last year, and it looked like one of its limbs had been torn off somewhere

He said he felt too sorry for that dog that's already gone to raise another one, so instead he does this

Like, he just goes around checking on and taking care of the neighborhood dogs...

People like that shouldn't even own animals. Irresponsible assholes just buy them because it's trendy and then throw them away when they're done.

This breaks my heart...

🦊

lmao every neighborhood has that one guy and somehow he's always the most interesting person there 😂

🦊

Sweetie, are you doing okay there??

🐿️

Poor chickpea... (I'm happy here with you too~~ㅠㅠ)

🦊

Why does this remind me of my uncle... he's definitely 'the unusual one' too and honestly he's the best part of family gatherings

🦊

Their love's got nowhere to go...

🦊

It found a place alright. Lots of places.

Every comment section: 'that's just normal behavior' | Also every comment section: 'WHO IS THIS PERSON' — make it make sense

There are actually YouTubers who make content out of this—improving conditions for dogs tied up in rural areas, taking them for walks and stuff...

🐰

Seeing that really makes you feel for the dogs

My grandma's got a dog tied up too, and every time I go there I take him for a walk and man, does he love it ㅠ She's so elderly she can't really take care of him like she should ㅠ

🐰

They should use those aerial tie systems—attach a long leash to a wire so the dog can move around a bit better.

I got really into that content for a while and was obsessed with finding more, but then I'd notice channels going inactive or seeing unfamiliar dogs... I wasn't watching them sequentially so I didn't realize at first, but eventually figured out what was happening: some owners sold their dogs to dog traders for a few bucks and the dogs just vanished. After experiencing that maybe five times, I stopped watching those channels altogether;;

Love lost its direction

The dogs know when someone cares about them too. When I go out to rural areas for work sometimes, I can't always bring food or treats but in summer it's essential and in winter I break up frozen water for them and refill their bowls. They can actually go a long time without water but still, whenever I pour some and pat them a few times, they go crazy as soon as they hear my car. Even if I just pass by nearby they bark and their tails go into overdrive. And I get to feel that guilt-free pleasure of being loved. Hehehehe

This is giving main character energy, I need to know the full story!

🦊

Okay but unusual in what way? Is he weird-cool or weird-concerning? The suspense is killing me 💀

🦊

I respect any person who just does their own thing and doesn't care what the neighborhood thinks, that's honestly goals
