In fact, Iran lost the means to enrich nuclear fuel domestically due to the 2025 bombing of enrichment facilities. Iran also made a proposal that mediators described as an economic jackpot, which included the US being given the opportunity to participate in Iran's future civilian nuclear program. In return, nearly 80% of economic sanctions against Iran were to be lifted, which also included the unfreezing of assets in Qatar that Iran had demanded in the 2025 talks.
