Growing up in your teen years, it was natural to roughhouse and throw hands with classmates and friends... but there's no clear line between that and so-called 'school violence.' If there was mutual fist-fighting, who's the victim and who's the perpetrator? Is the one who started it first the perpetrator? The one who threw more punches? The one who won the fight? It's complicated. When I was a kid, we'd be playing in the playground and someone would pick a fight, and we'd scrap all the time... Do kids nowadays even play in playgrounds? Do moms nowadays let their kids go to playgrounds?
