On the 13th, a man in his 20s died while receiving reserve military training in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, and the Army has issued its first official briefing on the matter since the incident occurred.
Regarding a YouTuber who participated in the training claiming that "the division commander was monitoring via drone," the Army stated that this is not true and explained that "the drone was operated by the opposing forces to create training scenarios."
In response to claims that training was forcibly conducted in 30-degree extreme heat, the Army stated that "the time of death was in the evening, which is unrelated to the heat hours" and explained that "detailed information is still under investigation."

The crazy part isn't even debating this — a soldier died during reserve training and they won't say a single apology. At minimum, someone at the division commander level should come out and say sorry.
So they're saying in like two weeks they'll... actually f*** that, they already said 'nah we didn't do it'
This is so frustrating to read... how are they even trying to claim that with a straight face?
??? : The abdomen was stabbed during the day, but time of death was at night, so the stabbing has nothing to do with it
These batsh*t military bastards
F***ing murderous regime... if a dog owner kicked their dog to death, they'd have to answer for it dammit...
I'm not saying it's a coverup but the timing is absolutely insane and we all know it
So if it's NOT heat exhaustion, that means you worked him to death anyway?
If you restraint my limbs and stab my thigh and I come out fine, then that's got nothing to do with you right? Since I won't be at the scene when you die
Yeah sure, and I'm the Queen of England. A soldier dies during a literal heat wave and suddenly it's "unrelated" lmao
breaking: water is unrelated to being wet 💀
As someone from a country with actual summers, 45°C+ and NO heat deaths is definitely possible... but the statement makes zero sense here
