Hello :) I placed an order and made a deposit last week. Would it be possible to pick it up around 1:30 PM tomorrow?

Hi, this is Whistle Pro. I'm currently in mourning, so I won't be at the store until tomorrow ㅠ

Oh no.. ㅜ My condolences to the deceased..

Whistle Pro, thank you so much ~

I'm sorry for bothering you during such a difficult time. If I can't pick it up tomorrow, it'll be really hard for me to come back later, so if there's no way to ask someone else to deliver it for you, I'd like to request a refund instead. Please contact me whenever it's convenient for you about the refund and proceed with it.

Hello, this is Whistle Pro. We're in a situation where we can't make the cake at all, so pickup today is difficult. As noted in the 4 precautions, yesterday was 3 days before, so 30% of the amount is excluded and a refund is possible~

10:24 AM

I don't think the refund reason is on my end but on your company's side, so I'm confused why it's not a full refund. It's not just a change of mind—you failed to meet the pre-agreed date and time, so I had to cancel. Why should the customer take the loss?

11:14 AM

I ordered a cake last week and was supposed to pick it up this Friday.

On Thursday, I contacted them to confirm the pickup time, but they replied that it would be difficult due to a sudden situation.

I was also flustered by the sudden one-sided cancellation,

but I accepted it as the right thing to do, expressed my condolences, and politely requested a refund.

There was no reply yesterday, but I got a reply today

They said they'll refund me minus a 30% cancellation fee.

Are they trying to take condolence money from me too?

I requested a refund again, but if they refuse, should I contact the Consumer Protection Agency?

Summary 1. Ordered cake a week ago 2. Cancelled the day before due to the business's circumstances 3. When I demanded a refund, they said to pay a fee

So this person got scammed... or are they basically saying their own business skills are dead??

Wait...no

🐰

They deliberately left out the most important meme/screenshot and edited the post to be misleading—why would they do that?

🦊

Wait so they're charging you to give your money back? That's the most backwards thing I've ever heard 😭

🐰

I want to believe this was just a mistake because they were busy...

🐰

I would've walked out immediately, no way I'm losing a third of my purchase just to return it lmao

🦊

There's actually an ending to this, right? I remember it turned out to be a happy ending because they confused it with something else

🐰

This is why I always check return policies now. Some stores really think they can get away with anything these days smh

🐰

This kind of post is exactly like tabloid journalism—they obviously had the full story but decided to post it in the worst way possible. Total asshole move fr fr

🦊

Apparently they apologized for the confusion and gave a full refund

🐰

People keep acting unhinged about this even when told there's a follow-up. These crazy ones are endless, it's hilarious

🐰

30%?? That's insane lol, they basically want you to pay them to return stuff. Sounds like a scam honestly 💀
