Sneaking it in on the low
Even the extras act stupid, running game like this. actual feminists probably learned it from someone
honestly it makes sense, the obsessive monologues hit different when you realize they're literally unhinged behavior
this is why i can never trust pretty men in historical costumes, they could be unwell and i'd still be like 'yes king court me'
the way directors are like 'we need toxic chemistry' and then surprised pikachu when audiences call out the red flags
I haven't watched the drama so I'm not totally sure, but apparently they messed up the historical accuracy from the start and kept getting roasted for it. Then the final episode had a fatal historical error that made it worse. To be precise, it wasn't really playing dumbβthe whole setup was trash from the beginning.
Yeah but these idiots couldn't even stick to the accuracy, then it turns out that last episode's historical error was actually the whole real buildup lmao
From the start they're like 'what historical accuracy in a fantasy, just turn your brain off and watch the romance' sneaking out like that, then the finale literally drops 'Korea was China's vassal state' and thinks one apology fixes it, still trying to shield it as just a historical mistake lol
The hate isn't actually about the accuracy being wrong anymore. Damn, fusion period dramas all have loose accuracy anyway~ just turn your brain off and watch the male and female leads' romance~ that's what people were saying. But then it turned out that if you assumed the premise actually happened that way, the historical accuracy was apparently fucking well done, which is why people are mad. Even if you accepted the 'if' scenario, if it was just half-baked crap everywhere, people would've been like, damn it, just another typical cheesy romance period drama, right?~ lmao The writer's a total idiot lol~ like, 'our leads' tragic love story is so touching I could cry~' and everyone would've moved on.
Cheonse is literally a word that makes Koreans go 'what the fuck does that even mean?' if you hear it. If they used it intentionally lol just watch Netflix instead..
