The sound of campaign cars driving around is louder and more annoying than the sound of kids' sports day at school. Is there no way to file a complaint about that?

The really infuriating part is why can't they say "this is not subject to complaints" when people file complaints about kids' sports day being too loud? Is it because they have to suck up to people who will become members of Congress? I'm literally getting angrier in a gradient as I write this comment lmao

There was similar content on a sitcom where someone got absolutely furious because a campaign car's noise made them miss an important part of their TV show, so they swore they'd never vote for that candidate lmaooo
School sports day: happens once a year on a weekday afternoon. Elections: goes on for two months straight, morning to evening, with megaphones and speakers blaring out terrible candidate songs, also loud on weekends doing their nonsense. They illegally park on turn lanes causing traffic jams. Plus they hang those hideous banners everywhere for a whole year
From a legislator's perspective, frontline civil servants are totally powerless, and higher-ups need to step in but they're all buddies with each other anyway
Why is this hitting different at 2am when I'm trying to sleep 💀 the relatability is insane
I was napping after dinner and someone cranked their speaker to max and drove through our alley and woke me right up—you're definitely not getting my vote
Elections are loud, campaign vehicles are loud, and in our neighborhood sometimes people who hate a certain party do street marches with megaphones chanting and singing and I fucking hate it
Don't call don't call don't call don't call don't call fuck
Campaign noise actually has legal decibel limits, but the threshold is higher than a fighter jet's takeoff sound so it's basically meaningless lmao. There wasn't a standard at all until it got ruled unconstitutional, so now they just set it to the loudest sound humans can hear
Those annoying people doing polls and harassing people are fucking annoying too
If they actually cracked down on it, they'd totally cry about democracy being suppressed and throw a fit
This shit lmaooo it reminds me of some speech like that—wonder what these fucking idiots think democracy actually means
Lmaooo this is literally my neighborhood every weekend, the local club does events and nobody enforces the noise ordinance 😭
Wait this is so real though, complained to my city council THREE times about construction noise and they literally don't care
