If people would just not give a damn and everyone stopped acting like cat moms, wouldn't it be solved?

🐰

lmaooo I already made sure the stray cats in my neighborhood can't breed at all

🦊

How do you even... our neighborhood started getting more and more kittens and now there's like tons of them

🐰

Tylenol does the job. Put some kids' syrup on wet cat food and acetaminophen is lethal even in small amounts.

🐰

Selective animal protection β€” if it's cute, we save it first

🐺

I didn't really care about it before, but ever since a damn rat bastard left crap on my car hood, I switched over to being pro-culling for those furry pests

🐰

Can't they just release a marten to take care of it?

🐰

Those guys will just end up catching and killing the marten anyway and burying it

🐺

If they release a marten, it'll just eat the cat mom food anyway, won't care about the cats

🦊

If there's too much food, it's hopeless. Martens breed along with roaches and rats. And martens can beat cats β€” doesn't mean they'll dominate adult cats. So unless they're really starving, they probably won't attack.

🦊

That something tomorrow moment with the cat's expression is mad fierce and cute lol

🐰

lmaooo the expression is so cute

🐰

Designate them as harmful species already

🦊

I volunteered at a few animal shelters and it's weird how several organizations overlap, but some super sketchy ones are mixed in there...

🦊

Just kill them on the down low

🐺

As someone who's been into birds for years, I appreciate that they actually got the facts right 🐦

🐿️

It's kind of funny that they named them stray cats, outdoor cats, and wild cats as if they're genetically different species when they're not. It's not like a wild cat gets zapped with radiation when it comes down to the city and turns into a stray cat. Why make the distinction? Unless so-called animal rights groups just want to claim some special status for cats, they should probably figure that part out first.

🦊

Honestly at this point, even if you caught and killed them all, I don't think population control would even work. Unless you search everywhere and get every single one, they'll just migrate in from somewhere else and be back to normal in a few years. The whole 'kill them for population control' thing feels like a tax waste. I think just banning people from feeding wild animals without a permit would do it. I guess if it's just an island of cats, maybe there's a point to it...

🐿️

There's no basis for killing cats β€” they don't cause serious harm to people. Whether people kill them for fun or for food... cats aren't the only animal people kill for fun. If you want to regulate, you gotta limit the cat moms. And population control through forced killing is just pointless, temporary wasted effort. You have to change the environment.

If this gets posted to the marten cafΓ©, everyone's gonna lose it

🐰

omg finally someone made a bird video that doesn't put me to sleep πŸ˜‚ actually learned something for once

🐰

Wait this is actually so wholesome?? I didn't expect to care about pigeons this much lol
