Newborn ㅇ infancy

May 26, 2026 4:53 PM

 First son: Kim Ian

Second daughter: Kim Ina

Born at 32 weeks and 5 days. Filing the birth certificates now!

They were born early so for 4 days straight I was worried sick about my wife, crying all day

couldn't sleep, couldn't eat, barely functioning... then suddenly at dawn her water broke and

get this lol ㅋㅋㄱㅋ

One of them broke the amniotic sac with their leg, and the other just casually plugged the hole with their butt to seal it back up

Such a solid sibling collab, the delivery went perfectly

My wife's already eating regular food so she's recovering well

The kids are in the NICU but they're healthy too

The second the clock hit 9 AM I got all the birth certificates and paperwork done immediately

the nurses were like damn you finished all that already lol ㅋㄱㅋ

I'm so grateful to my family for hanging in there with me, still ugly crying ngl

I got more stories to spill but my hands are too tired from texting, sorry ㅠ

Hope all my bros get to experience this soon too

it's really... different. let's all be happy together ㅂㅂ

no because twins are literally double the work but also double the chaos and double the love, you're about to experience every emotion at once fr fr

🐰

You got one boy and one girl all at once ㅋㅋㅋ congrats

Boy-girl twins are rare! Handled it in one go, congrats

The 'aaaaaah' really captures the energy lol, that's either pure joy or pure panic and honestly with twins it's probably both

Congrats on the twins! Twin dad here too, my kids just turned 13 months If you're raising twins, sleep training is basically non-negotiable. If you skip it, your quality of life becomes absolutely brutal. For reference I was sleeping like 3 hours a day for about 8 months, and that's not even continuous—that's fragmented catnaps added up. It was worse since both sets of grandparents couldn't help, but sleep training is definitely essential regardless of the baby's temperament. Once the kid develops their own will later, it becomes impossible, so you gotta do it while training is still possible. Trust me. We skipped it cause my wife was against it, and by the time we tried to do sleep training when we were literally dying from sleep deprivation, it was already too late. For twins, sleep training isn't optional—it's required. Get a nursing pillow if you don't have one. You can prop the bottle under their chin and feed them hands-free. You can start using it around day 50. If you really need your hands free, around day 150 you can set up the bottle so they can drink from it like a straw on their own. The goal is to get them eating without your hands so you can actually survive. Depends on the region and center, but when posting caregiver jobs, if you don't ask for simultaneous care for both, it's basically impossible to find someone. Twins are already seen as a pain to deal with anyway... Direct breastfeeding will probably destroy the mom's sleep schedule. If you do it, pump first. Anyway, fighting

CONGRATS!! Honestly twins on the first try is both amazing and terrifying, you're either gonna be the most patient dad ever or completely lose it 😂

🐰

Wait hold up, twin dad as in you just found out or you literally just had them?? Either way this is huge, welcome to the sleep deprivation club mate
