I witnessed someone ordering at a Korean cafe saying "Please be careful because a pregnant woman will be eating this." The part-time worker got flustered for a moment and started looking for something. What she pulled out was an allergen chart. She showed it to the pregnant customer and said "Then we'll check for allergies and confirm your order. If there are no problems, we'll prepare what you ordered." I thought it was good customer service, but then the pregnant woman said "No.. it's not that I have allergies, it's because a pregnant WOMAN will be eating it." But she just kept saying the same thing like she was trying to play 20 questions with the part-time worker... Another staff member who was watching this riddle-like conversation came over and said "You will eat it. Or would you like a refund? We're having trouble understanding your request. If you'd like something specific, please let us know. There are customers waiting behind you." Then the pregnant woman clicked her tongue, muttered under her breath, and complained that we weren't listening, and eventually asked for a refund... I seriously still don't know what she was asking for.. This was the most difficult language arts section - non-literary passage - I've ever encountered in my life.
